Sherril Foster, a former schoolteacher from Ontario, became passionate about BC history after moving to Summerland in 1984. During her many years volunteering in arts and culture she has written two historical plays, a self-published history of the town, a string of murder mysteries and three history books for the local museum. Sherril was compelled to research and write the biography of Mary Spencer after being intrigued by her fascinating story for years.
