Adelaide McCauley and her two children witness the shooting of her Métis husband by a crazed white miner. She attempts to nurse him back to life but after several painful days he dies, 300 miles away from the nearest court of justice in Golden, BC.
Adelaide must now wrestle with the white court system and all its failures and prejudices to try to bring justice to her husband’s killer.
